Possible Change To Crown Jewel Match + Vince McMahon At Evolution?

-There are rumblings that the Universal Title match slated for Crown Jewel could be changing yet again. The match, first announced as a triple threat match pitting Roman Reigns against both Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman was changed to a one on one bout last week after Reigns’ relinquished the title.

However, at the time of this change, Braun Strowman had already begun to feud with former partners Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre-with a heavy emphasis on the feud with the Scottish Psychopath. Some fans had expected a possible addition of McIntyre to the match at Crown Jewel, but now we are seeing more substantive reports that are lending support to the idea.

Adding McIntyre makes some sense. He’s been on a roll of late and is one of the hotter Superstars on the RAW brand. He and Strowman are both full time participants on RAW, so having both he and Strowman in the match would allow for the feud to continue and grow. With Roman Reigns off TV for the foreseeable future, having WWE go all in for a major program between Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre makes a ton of sense. Including the Universal Title in that feud could prove to be a wise decision.

-Here is an interesting tidbit about Evolution. Many have commented that the show had the look and feel of an NXT TakeOver show, leading fans to speculate that none other than Triple H was in the back calling the shots. This would make sense, as Hunter was a big proponent of the show, along with Stephanie McMahon.

However, reports from Pro Wrestling Sheet indicate that the man in charge of the show last night was none other than Vince McMahon, as usual.  The elder McMahon was assisted by his daughter and son-in-law, along with other producers. It’s worth pointing out that, while it was an all women’s PPV, there was no push to have the show produced in the back by a woman (such as Stephanie). Perhaps for the next show.
