I have mad respect for sports entertainers; in a profession that is supposed to be ‘fake’ (I prefer the word, ‘predetermined), they make everything look so real. They train hard, eat well, practice moves at the developmental center, and look like super heroes flying in and outside that ring. Being a woman, I look up that much more to the females in the division, and being a mom, I am in awe of those women who re-lace up their boots after having kids.
Which is why I applaud Brie Bella for her recent return. It has to take courage, guts, and a whole lot of bravery to make a comeback only after a year after giving birth, and two years after leaving the squared circle to begin with. And not only has Brie returned, but she’s been working a schedule of house shows, ingrained in storylines for both RAW and SmackDown television; exhibiting not one, but two unique personas weekly for about a month initially after her return. She’s working pay-per-views as well, all while leading a brand and still being a mom.
Sadly, while in many ways she juggled it all very well, this big return has been plagued with botches; with the first two popping up (very loud and clear) during her and Nikki’s return to action on the September 3rd edition of Monday Night RAW.

Then the final shoe dropped last night, when Brie knocked out Liv Morgan during a six-woman tag bout that pitted the Bella Twins, along with Natalya versus the Riott Squad.

And the botches have not gone unnoticed on Twitter:
They need to promote total Bella’s or divas so call her up. Just re watched the botch and the first kick to connect was 50/50 but the 2nd was all brie

So Brie Bella’s kick to Liv Morgan was so savage that they’re both still trending almost 10 hours later.
That’s an intense botch, right there. I hope @YaOnlyLivvOnce is okay this morning. I’d miss her blue tongue if she was out of action for too long. #wwe #raw

Rewatched that 6-women tag where Liv Morgan got injured. Bless Brie Bella’s heart; I know she definitely didn’t mean any harm to Liv but maybe it’s time for her to step out of the ring for good. Be Bryan’s valet. Several major botches in 3 weeks. Hope Liv’s OK. #RAW

Oh no it’s time for Botch Mode-I mean Brie Mode. Omg please never play that women’s song again and make the Bella’s disappear forever #WWE #HIAC @BigDaddyJ_WWR

I watched 5 mins of #RAW last night and I caught the Brie Bella dive botch ?. The Bella’s represent everything that’s wrong with wrestling. Has there ever been a moment when anything about them has felt genuine?

Here’s the thing, whenever any WWE superstar enters that ring, no matter who they are facing, they place their health and body on the line. While her two Suicide Dives during the September 3rd RAW looked comedic, and clearly showed her ring rust, they really put no one in danger but herself. What happen last night could have really happened to any superstar; it was simply a mistake. Like when Seth Rollins broke John Cena’s nose in 2015; when Finn Balor was injured during the 2016 SummerSlam; Samoa Joe’s foot injury during a RAW match earlier this year, and the list goes on and on.
Yes, Brie Bella may be suffering from a little ring rust; however, these slips happen all the time and no one needs to point any fingers of blame – especially some fans who have zero clue around in-ring action and dynamics.
Every match on #Raw is an opportunity for us to entertain our fans. Our intentions as @WWE Superstars is to win the match, never injure our opponents. Thinking about @YaOnlyLivvOnce tonight. ?? -B

At the end of the day, here’s hoping Bella can iron out her in-ring game, shake it off, and not allow the critics (and her botches) to plague this return. Here’s hoping she can move forward and rise above to finish this current run on a high note. Her program and matches on SmackDown LIVE with hubby Daniel Bryan was flawless; it is just her RAW game that clearly needs some tweaking. If Liv Morgan ends up being okay, there is great potential to intertwine this Yes! Kick slip up into their current storyline to elevate the feud going into WWE’s Super Show-Down; turning this negative into a positive would be a beautiful thing.
