Cowboys Quarterback Takes A Major Stand For National Anthem

While the liberal mainstream media focuses so heavily on the NFL players who protest during the National Anthem, it’s important to remember that there are many players who respectfully stand in support of our country. Dak Prescott made it clear that he is one of them.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback was rather adamant about the fact that he will always stand for the Anthem. He feels it is an inappropriate time to protest. He has never taken a knee during the National Anthem and he promises never to do so.

“I never protest during the anthem, and I don’t think that’s the time or the venue to do so,” Prescott said. “The game of football has always brought me such a peace, and I think it does the same for a lot of people — a lot of people playing the game, a lot of people watching the game, a lot of people that have any impact of the game. So when you bring such a controversy to the stadium, to the field, to the game, it takes away … from that. It takes away from the joy and the love that football brings a lot of people.”

Prescott’s statements are in line with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones who stated that his team will all be standing during the National Anthem. None of the players on America’s Team will be taking a knee. The quarterback also believes the point of the protests has been made and it’s time to move on and find other ways to move forward.

“I’m all about making a chance and making a difference,” Prescott stated, but “this whole kneeling, and all of that, was all about just raising awareness, and the fact that we’re still talking about social injustice years later, I think we’ve gotten to that point. I think we’ve proved it. We know about social injustice.”

“I’m up for taking a next step, whatever that step may be for action and not just kneeling,” he continued. “And you can count me in if we can find something worth the action to do so that will help fix it.”

Of course, this will make Dak Prescott a target of those who are disrespectfully taking a knee during the National Anthem. Oakland Raiders Line Backer Tahir Whitehead took aim at the Cowboys Quarterback already.
