chris pratt generation speech

Chris Pratt is not your typical Hollywood A-Lister. He is not self-absorbed, he’s able to poke fun at himself, he understands the importance of humility, and as a Christian, he knows the universe doesn’t revolve around him.

The Avengers star showed this off in epic fashion while accepting the Generation Award at the MTV TV & Movies Awards. In his speech he touched on his nine rules for living. While some of his rules are humorous, including what to do when you have to go to the bathroom at a party, two of them touched on his faith.

“You have a soul. Be careful with it,” Pratt told the crowd to cheers. This is not something that many Hollywood actors proclaim when accepting an award. Many Hollywood types are overcome by Trump Derangement Syndrome during their speeches. But rather than focusing on bitterness and politics, Chris Pratt proved that he is one of the most relatable actors in Tinsel Town.

Pratt doubled down on that message by encouraging others to have faith. “God is real. God loves you, God wants the best for you. Believe that, I do,” the actor said to his younger adoring fans. This message appeared to be resonating as it was met with applause and cheers!

After watching the tweeted video below, you’ll likely be an even bigger Chris Pratt fan!

That message took a lot more guts to say than Robert DeNiro’s profanity-laced tirade at the Tony Awards. Chris Pratt is a class act. He always takes the high road.

This should not shock a lot of people. Pratt publicly demonstrates his belief in God. One Easter, he erected a huge cross as a celebration of his Christianity and shared a picture of it on Instagram. Even when he is surrounded by Hollywood atheists, Chris Pratt isn’t’ afraid to be himself.

We need more of this in Hollywood!
