Liberal Students Fooled On Camera!

President Donald Trump ruffled a lot of liberal feathers earlier this month when he said that he would deploy National Guard troops to the southern border to meet a caravan of illegals attempting to enter the country.

Conveniently, those same liberals seemed to completely forget that President Barack Obama did the same thing.

With that in mind, Campus Reform decided to ask students at the University of California Santa Barbara what they thought about Trump’s order to protect the southern border. Unsurprisingly, they were appalled – and didn’t seem to understand how a border or laws work.

Students immediately made clear that they would not support any measure that would send troops to protect the border.

One opened by saying “It’s not justified…it’s a totally uncalled for act of power,” while another remarked that “I don’t think it’s good to send militarized troops to people who are coming in unarmed.”

One student said bluntly, “I’m not a huge fan of the military to begin with…I think it would be a huge waste of money.”

However, when the same students were told that Obama did the same thing Trump is doing now, they either admitted they had no idea, claimed Obama had different “intent,” or blamed their misinformation on the media and “fake news.”

These students’ worldview and lack of understanding is concerning. With the exception of the young man at the end of the video, every one of these students is clearly uninformed, and are more than likely basing their opinions on their peers’ social media feeds rather than on facts. But even more unbelievable than their willingness to accept a double standard for Obama and Democrats is their complete disrespect for rule of law and the very country in which they live.

If students like this are our future, we’re in trouble.
