Rosamund Pike: There Should NOT Be A Female James Bond
In the wake of Daniel Craig announcing that the upcoming James Bond film will be his final time playing the legendary secret agent, liberals are calling for a female James Bond. One former Bond girl, however, isn't having any of it.
In the wake of Daniel Craig announcing that the upcoming James Bond film will be his final time playing the legendary secret agent, liberals are calling for producers to cast a woman to replace him. One former Bond girl, however, isn’t having any of it.
Rosamund Pike starred in the James Bond film Die Another Day back in 2002 and has gone on to be nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in Gone Girl. She just spoke out to defy politically correct liberals by letting them know that it’s actually them who may be sexist for demanding Bond be played by a woman.
“I’d just say write a new story,” Pike said, according to Indiewire. “James Bond is a character that Ian Fleming created. Of course, the brand has become bigger and whatever, but take one of the Bond Girls and give her her own story. I think the character of James Bond is a man. He is really.”
“To have such a character in a completely independent series, why should a woman get sort of sloppy seconds?” Pike asked. “Why should she have once been a man and now it has to be played by a woman? Why not make a kick-ass female agent in her own right?”
Pike went on to double down on this by saying that to swap Bond’s gender would be to “underestimate a woman entirely.” She also said that while she would have no interest in playing Bond, she would love to portray a different female action hero.
“There’s nothing really about the James Bond character as written by Ian Fleming that resembles a woman,” Pike said. “It’s a very masculine creation. So sure, make an unexpected, unapologetic, kick-ass, amazing female agent and yes, I’ll play her.”
Pike could not be more right about this. Liberals love to call for onscreen characters to have their genders and races changed for absolutely no reason. Instead of trying to change characters that are already in existence, how about these liberals instead focus on creating new characters that can serve as examples to women and minorities?

Twitter users made it clear that they also agree with Pike on this:
Will you stop with this already? James Bond is and forever will be JAMES, stop ruining every franchise with feminists and stupid characters gender swap, if you want female action hero or spy or whatever make new movie with new characters.

Exactly! Thank you @IndieWire for asking the obvious question. Anyone sincerely interested in seeing a balance of genders in such action roles would want their own hero. Not a “re-genderized” version of a previously male role…#AtomicBlonde

Extremely sick of this nonsense being pushed into tv & movies! #JustStop Focus on bringing back good content & production, rather than checking the boxes of the groups you’re trying to appease.
