Old School Dad Heard His Son Was Bullying And Pulled Out Some No-Nonsense Parenting

A Virginia dad had enough of his son’s behavioral issues, so he looked to old-school parenting and it appears to be working. The video of this Bryan Thornhill’s son’s punishment went viral and everyone had an opinion.

Dad Learns Son Is A Bully

When Bryan Thornhill’s 10-year-old son was kicked off the bus for bullying other students, this Virginia dad decided to teach his boy a lesson by making him run to school in the rain for the duration of his suspension.

Thornhill used Facebook Live to show his son’s punishment in action. His video has gone viral, acquiring over 1.7 million views. The school is only a mile away, so his son is getting much-needed exercise in addition to learning a lesson.

The video begins with Thornhill saying, “Hey everyone, welcome to you better listen to your Dad 2018. My son has finally got in trouble on the bus enough to where he was kicked off the bus for three days because he was being a little bully which I do not tolerate, can’t stand.”

The no-nonsense dad reports that his son’s behavior has been “much better” since the punishment began and that even his “teachers have approved of his behavior this week.”

Thornhill is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. He believes good parenting is more effective than gun control in stopping mass shootings.

Passive parenting doesn’t teach children action control. We need to teach our children that actions have consequences.

10-Year-Old Bully Gets Old School Parenting

Too many parents don’t hold their kids accountable for their actions.

This creates some serious issues as they enter young adulthood and don’t know how to take responsibility for their own actions.

As Thornhill explains in the video below, we only have a certain amount of time to teach our children how to behave. You’re not doing your kids any favors by allowing them to act like spoiled brats.

You’ll likely be cheering for this dad after watching the video below.

Some commenters whined that Thornhill was bullying his son with this punishment.

But others gave the dad mad props for holding his son accountable and teaching him humility.

Many loved Bryan Thornhill’s parenting advice, “Don’t be a friend, be a parent.”

He also had some strong word for anyone who “gets their panties in wad” over this video. You’ve got to love his moxie.

Of course, many of us had to walk a mile or more to school in all types of weather conditions. We survived and it helped shape us into responsible adults.

People are just way too sensitive these days.

Share this if you think this dad did the right thing!
