‘The Voice’ Judges Have The Best Reaction During Kathie Lee and Hoda’s Audition

Kathie Lee Gifford is known to be a terrific singer. She decided to test her talents by going on a blind audition on “The Voice.” But, Gifford brought along a friend who isn’t quite as talented.  Her “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb joined her on stage, and the pair sang the classic song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me.”

Immediately after Kathie Lee started singing, the judges could tell that something was different because of the crowd’s reaction. The audience was loving every minute of it while these beloved morning show hosts took a stab at getting one of the judges to turn his or her chair around.

Kathie Lee is an accomplished singer and has even sung at the Super Bowl. Hoda apparently just sings in the shower. Kathie Lee did her best to compliment her voice.

The judges’ facial expressions were pretty hilarious while they tried to figure out what was going on. Kelly Clarkson couldn’t stand the mystery, so she was the first to turn her chair around. Quickly, each of the other judges also turned their chairs to see Kathie Lee and Hoda on stage. The “Today” hosts were shocked that they got all four judges to turn for them.

The ladies declared their stage name to appropriately be The Winos. Each of the judges wanted to be chosen by this unlikely duo. Even though Hoda named her dog after Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson won because she turned around first.

Watch the video below for a great laugh, and to see how Kathie Lee saved Hoda! You can tell they were having a lot of fun during this performance.

They certainly enjoyed tricking “The Voice” judges and getting all of them to turn around – even if they were “mercy turns.”  One thing is for certain. Hoda better keep her day job!
