Mall Goers Got The Shock Of A Lifetime When An Irish Dance Flashmob Came Out Of Nowhere

Irish dancers certainly get your attention. This centuries-old way of dancing is mesmerizing, particularly when it is done in a large group. A tremendous amount of skill and practice go into perfecting a routine to make sure every move from every dancer is coordinated.

Shoppers at a London area shopping mall got an impromptu treat when a flash mob of almost 40 Irish dancers showed up and performed a terrific dance. Dozens of dancers from McGahan Lees Irish Dance Academy showed off their skills to many shoppers who were very happy to take a moment to watch them.

It all starts off with a lone dancer in the middle of the mall. The music suddenly begins as the other dancers join her, initially, one at a time. There is even a subtle costume change during the dance!

There is a lot of tapping and jumping in Irish dancing. There’s such high energy that you nearly get a workout just by watching it! It takes years to become an accomplished Irish dancer. The training is rather extensive, but practice certainly pays off.

This was done to promote a new airline service from London Southend Airport to Dublin, Ireland with connections to New York, Boston, Chicago, and Orlando.

These dancers appear to have gotten a lot of attention. It seems like a great way to promote a trip to Ireland to see more dancing!
