What Ronda Rousey Is Doing At Elimination Chamber

There has been a lot of speculation about Ronda Rousey’s role at Elimination Chamber. As you already know, Ronda will be signing her WWE contract during the pay-per-view, making many people believe the company is laying the groundwork for a WrestleMania rivalry. Here is the story!

Contract Signings Happen for a Reason

When you take a closer look at the WWE’s track record, you will immediately discover that public contract signings always happen for a reason. They are usually pulled out to promote a future event, or further a rivalry between two WWE superstars. No wonder many fans and wrestling reporters are speculating on the real reason for Ronda to sign her contract at Elimination Chamber.

High-Profile Signing

Another thing that stands out is the timing of the signing. Most public contract signings take place during Raw or SmackDown, with the purpose of preparing the crowd for a pay-per-view match. Naturally, this once again has fans speculating, because what could be the purpose of having Ronda sign at the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania?

Obviously, WrestleMania would not be complete without having Ronda there. Despite not having wrestled in a WWE ring before, Rousey is a major star the WWE cannot overlook. The public contract signing could be a way for the WWE to build up a WrestleMania rivalry.

WrestleMania Opponent?

Ronda may already have a spot at WrestleMania in the eyes of fans and WWE management, but this does not mean we are any closer to finding out who will be Ronda Rousey’s opponent. Of course, there are plenty of rumors. The ones I believed most likely I included below.

Stephanie McMahon

The most likely person to take on Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania has to be Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie had a “minor” altercation with Rousey at WrestleMania several years ago, which started the speculation of Rousey joining the WWE. Even though we had to wait a couple of years, I would be quite interested in this particular rivalry.

Nia Jax

There has been plenty of aggro coming from Nia Jax. Of course, all the talk has been directed at Ronda Rousey, making many people believe they are building up a rivalry. Of course, many believe most of the heat was genuine, which leaves Rousey’s opponent for WrestleMania guesswork at this point.

Don’t Make It Asuka!

While I have a lot of interest in a rivalry between Asuka and Ronda Rousey, I think it is way too soon for these two to meet. Asuka is enjoying an undefeated streak and Rousey still has to build her career as a wrestler, so I hope the WWE does not make Rousey break Asuka’s undefeated streak. Of course, a loss for the “most dangerous woman on earth” to the Empress of Tomorrow would also be devastating for her young wrestling career.

Which wrestler would you prefer to see in a rivalry with Ronda Rousey? How will the contract signing play out? Put your predictions or ideas in the comment section below.
