Hurt Locker Director Kathryn Bigelow wasn’t entirely sure about taking on the project and was considering another film instead.

It was her ex-husband, Oscar-winner James Cameron, who convinced her that it was a movie worth directing. It turned out to be excellent advice with the movie winning six Oscars and even beating Cameron’s nominated film, Avatar.
