An inconvenient and unexpected injury will keep Samoa Joe from WWE television for at least a couple of weeks. However, this is causing some problems for WWE scheduling, since Samoa Joe was involved in some major storylines in the run-up towards the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
To ensure the WWE can keep on track with their storylines and planned matches, they have now called upon the Miz to replace Samoa Joe until his return.
Returning to Raw
The Miz has already arrived to take on Samoa Joe’s storyline. He will be taking on Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Championship. Since the Miz is replacing Joe, it is unlikely he will take the title from Reigns. The Miz always guarantees good television, so I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us.
Triple Threat Match
According to various sources, WWE booked a triple threat match for March 16th at Madison Square Garden, New York. The bout was planned to include Samoa Joe vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns. However, with Joe out of the picture due to injury, the Miz will be replacing Joe during this match too.
No Return Date Revealed
Even though the extent of Joe’s injury is somewhat known, there is yet no word on how long Samoa Joe will be out for. It could not come at a more inconvenient time though because Joe’s star was on the rise. Still, we will not forget about Joe and look forward to his return.
