Twitter user sarahtraceyy has solved this problem. Her shoes were looking like it was time to throw them out, but then she performed some cleaning magic on them and made them look brand new! Her tweet of the before and after photos prove that she gave these grimy shoes new life.

It is hard to find a solution to the dirty shoes problem. Cleaning with regular detergents might help get some of the dirt out, but it’s incredibly challenging to get them back to looking like they just came out of the box.

Her solution to cleaning white cloth shoes is rather simple. You might even have all the ingredients at home already. First, rinse the sneakers to get them a little wet. Then, mix one part baking soda and one and a half parts regular laundry detergent together. Use a toothbrush to scrub the shoes. After letting them sit, rinse your shoes in water. Throw them in the washing machine for a quick cycle and finally, dust them with baby powder and let them dry.

Her tweet with the solution has gone viral. This is a problem that a lot of people face, but there is no reason to throw out a perfectly good pair of shoes and waste money on a new pair when this is a rather quick fix. Keep in mind this is for cloth shoes!
