A dad who pulled a fun birthday prank for his son’s 16th birthday got a taste of his own medicine.
The dad gave his son an Xbox for his 16th birthday, or at least it was a box for an Xbox. Eight years later, the son got his dad an Xbox for Christmas so they could play their favorite game together, but he decided to lead his dad on a wild goose chase.
“On my 16th birthday my parents surprised me with what I thought was a brand new Xbox 360,” the son who is a YouTube user known as FPS gamer wrote. “Upon opening the box I discovered that it did not hold an Xbox, but the keys to my first car, a Honda Civic. I was elated and very grateful for the car, but until I saw it I was still a little disappointed that the box did not hold an Xbox.”
“When presented with the car,” he continued, “I went to the trunk to see if the Xbox had been placed in there. I assumed they had still purchased an Xbox since they had all of the packaging. I only later realized that my parents had merely bought the packaging on E-bay without the console inside. I purchased my own Xbox a few months later and the car served me well for several years.”

When the son turned 16, he didn’t get an Xbox but he got the keys his first car. Dad didn’t get a new car, but he got an Xbox that was in his son’s car. A bit of a twist, but all in good fun! Now, Dad can play Forza with his son!
