Many kids these days don’t get proper discipline. Some parents are more concerned with being friends with their children than setting boundaries.
These parents aren’t doing their children any favors. It’s easier to teach a child self-control and responsibility than it is to teach an adult who was put on a pedestal as a child. Children who don’t learn boundaries will have trouble in the workforce where they have to take orders and work with others.
The reality is that we don’t always get our way. This is something that should be learned as a child. But, some parents think their children are perfect and should be able to do as they please.
Terrel Rico Ralz Crawford is not one of those parents. When his preschool-aged daughter Ari threw a temper tantrum in Walmart, he took her to the parking lot to teach her how to control herself. Many people are taking notice of how he taught her how to act in public. He is making sure that she knows personal accountability. This is something that many parents fail to teach.
The video below is a great example of good parenting. He gets his daughter to calm down and she certainly learned that this behavior won’t be tolerated.
She isn’t getting any free passes from him! Too many parents blame everyone else for their child’s bad behavior. These kids grow up to be snowflakes who can’t handle any criticism and expect to always get their way. This dad is raising his daughter to be a strong woman and a productive member of society. Way to go, Dad!
Children who are disciplined and understand their boundaries will grow into adults who can handle challenges. Parents who give their children everything aren’t teaching them how to handle being told no. Those kids will grow up and demand safe spaces because they can’t handle different viewpoints.
