Kurt Angle Makes Braun Strowman First Member of Raw Survivor Series Team

On the October 30th episode of Raw, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon returned to chastize GM Kurt Angle over his failure to prevent the Smackdown roster from invading and attacking the Raw roster the week previous. As “punishment” Stephanie announced that Angle would captain the Raw Survivor Series team. This means Angle will also be picking the members of the team. And he has made his first choice via WWE.com

Raw’s Commissioner made it clear that Angle’s position with Monday Night Raw will be in jeopardy if he doesn’t completely show up the blue brand, and The Olympic Hero went big for his first pick, naming Braun Strowman to his team over Twitter following The Monster Among Men’s hellacious return from being thrown into the back of a garbage truck at WWE TLC.

Yea, you read that right. Braun Strowman returned…out of a garbage truck.

He then went on to destroy The Miztourage to the delight of the crowd.

The crowd was whipped into a frenzy by Strowman’s destruction of the Miztourage. I too was cackling wildly. I am in awe of the strength and presence of Braun. His power commands a respect and rapture I haven’t seen since the Undertaker. That may sound like a reach but that’s what I feel when I see him. He is so strong and so athletic and looks like something straight out of a comic book. WWE sees a lot in him and it is easy to see why. He is someone who will draw a lot of money. Part of the allure of wrestling is the “freak show” aspect of it. We love to see men who are incredibly big and monstrously strong. Strowman has that. He can dominate anyone on the roster and make it look real and menacing. I don’t know who else is going to be on the Survivor Series team, but with him on-board I think Raw has instantly become the favorites. I suspect he will be a big player in the match.
