Fans of Alaskan Bush People have been anxiously wondering when season 8 will finally begin filming. There is much to catch up on with the Brown family. Ami’s health has caused a delay and there have been worries that the show wouldn’t return to The Discovery Channel.
Those concerns appear to be over. Facebook group “Alaskan Bush People Exposed,” which has ties to the production crew, has revealed the Brown family will soon begin filming Season 8!

The location of the next season is still unclear. The Browns were hoping to move to Colorado, but Ami is about to begin the second round of chemotherapy in her battle against advanced lung cancer. Most of the family is with Ami in California where she is getting medical treatment. Noah is living in Oregon with his fiancee Rhain Alisha.
At the end of last season, the Browns made it clear that they didn’t want to stay in California. In the video below, Billy and Ami explained it was too crowded and they didn’t feel comfortable in the environment. They were hoping to relocate to Colorado.
Ami has been clear in the fact that she wants to continue filming. She wants to share her cancer journey with others in the hope that it encourages people facing the disease to remain positive. She is relying heavily on her faith and her family. That is where she finds her energy and resolve to fight for her life.
“I realized early into this that it’s very easy to want to give up and just die. And on the pessimist side, it could be my last days,” she said. “But I have the will to fight.”
“Worrying about it only makes it worse. There is hope and that hope is having faith in God,” Ami added when giving an interview about her health over the summer. “You can’t give up. I tell people be happy. Just be happy. It’s a choice. Things can be hard and you just want to curl up but you have to shine.”
Alaskan Bush People fans have been praying for Ami and the entire Brown family. The return of the show will be welcome news for many who are quite fond of this family and their adventurous and loving spirit!
