President Trump played the NFL like a fiddle. After saying that players who protest the National Anthem like Colin Kaepernick should be fired, liberal heads exploded. And when some players reacted to Trump’s comments by protesting on Sunday, there was a massive backlash from NFL fans.
James T. Harris predicted the backlash on Saturday before the big protest even happened. He detailed Steph Curry’s spat with President Trump in a now viral video. He said that people don’t want politics mixed in with their sports and there would be repercussions. Harris said people won’t buy tickets to see “rich ass, spoiled black athletes.” He loved Trump’s stand against the protests and just drove home the point in the video below.
The video has been viewed over 12 million times and has drawn in over 24,000 comments, mainly in support of his comments. In this hyper-political world, people want to watch football without being given a lecture by millionaires who catch and throw balls, as you can see by the comments below.
James T. Harris is completely right. The NFL got Trumped. The President knew what he was doing. He’s made it clear that he is putting America First – and that includes standing for the National Anthem!
