We’ve all heard the old saying, ‘you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.’ Well, in the video below, you can’t lead the horse anywhere.
The videographer in this clip stated he saw the horse’s two front legs move before the rest of its body. The workers quickly removed all equipment from the horse to try to get it up and moving again.
Can you overwork a horse? After watching the video below, I am positive you can.
The man who recorded the whole incident described what he saw:
I was walking with a friend when I saw the two front legs of the horse bend and he hit the ground with his head first. At first, the owner jumped out and came to help his horse, but the horse was unresponsive. Two men arrived to help the owner and took off all the equipment that was on him. They started to tug on his reigns and after 5 minutes of this I decided to call 911. This horse was in pretty bad shape. Honestly, I thought that he would never get up. Once I stopped filming the horse finally got back up.
I felt sad watching the horse struggling to get up, but according to its owner, he made a full recovery!
