As the children of royalty, Prince George and Princess Charlotte undoubtedly have the world at their fingertips.

However, Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton want to give their son and daughter as normal an upbringing as possible – and that means no smartphones, tablets, or other internet-connected devices:

“iPads are very much seen as Mummy and Daddy’s toys, not for children. As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play, and encouraging an active imagination. They’re very much a normal family.”

And given recent findings that technology is actually ruining the parent-child relationship, William and Kate’s decision couldn’t be more laudable.

The Duke and Duchess, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, today arrived in Poland for the start of #RoyalTourPoland
