‘Deadliest Catch’ Full Of Drama As Crew Member Is Injured During Storm!

Tuesday night’s episode of Deadliest Catch showed us the crew facing a deadly storm that caused a lot of havoc and some serious issues on the ship.

Captain Jake Anderson did a bit of foreshadowing when he said, “the Bering Sea is a taker of lives.” The crew worked during a violent storm, only to be rewarded with light crab hauls.

The crew was thin with deck boss Sean Dunlop in rehab and another crew member recently being fired for insubordination. This put quite a burden on the crew. When some pots weren’t secured, they slammed into some of the guys on the ship. This could have caused serious injuries, but thankfully, it didn’t.

Luce wasn’t so lucky. He fell off the deck, causing serious panic as he dropped 15 feet onto the deck below. Hannes thought Luce had tumbled overboard. “I thought he went over the side. I thought he was gone,” Hannes said.

Luce was in a lot of pain and discomfort, even saying he felt numb. Captain Anderson called Sig Hansen to see what he should do. Sig said he feared Luce had a concussion and needed immediate medical attention. “You gotta take him in,” Sig said.

While Luce was worried he didn’t have money for medical care, Captain Anderson made the decision to head to port so Luce could be taken care of. It was a costly decision but one that had to be made.

This season of Deadliest Catch has been rather dramatic. Even Captain Sig Hansen has had more medical drama. This show seems to deal with life and death decisions during every episode.
