Five year old Brian Kelly sure misses his dad who is deployed. Brian particularly liked doing yard work with him. But, when the incoming kindergarten student saw his neighbor working in the yard, he went over a made a new friend.
Brian shows up on Dean Craven’s doorstep to help. Dean, who has three daughters, loves these visits. He realizes that he isn’t a substitute for Brian’s father, but he is happy to help bridge a little of that gap during the deployment.
Molly Craven tweeted out some pictures of the two that have gone viral.

What an adorable pair of friends. If only everyone respected military families this much! I love that the Craven’s have welcomed Brian into their hearts!
