Justice Clothing Store has issued a recall on their Just Shine Shimmer Powder. The makeup, which the store markets to teens and tweens, was found to contain traces of asbestos.
Asbestos can cause a variety of health issues, including cancer. This recall is even more alarming because Justice is a store for young girls. The company is removing the product until further notice. “Justice is committed to the safety and integrity of our products. Upon receiving the inquiry from WTVD, we immediately began an independent investigation. We cannot speculate regarding the matter until we have more information. Nonetheless, out of an abundance of caution, we have stopped the sale of this product while we investigate,” the company statement said.
The company still has other Just Shine Shimmer products that are available that are not included in this recall. It’s important to make sure teens aren’t using this powder since it could have health implications.
