Dance Moms’ alum JoJo Siwa is in some hot water after she made up a story that her dad was in a near death accident while in Canada.
The young dancer has a bright future ahead of her. She has a line of bows at Claire’s, merchandise at Walmart and recently signed a contract with Nickelodeon. So, this recent stunt was quite a stupid mistake for her to make.
JoJo posted a video on her YouTube channel in which she and her brother are detailing that their father was severely injured when he was run over by a bus. The pair held viewers on the edge of the seats before explaining at the end of the video that it was all a ploy just to get YouTube views since they didn’t have anything else exciting to report.
There was quite a bit of backlash from people who were genuinely concerned about her dad. Joking about something like this isn’t funny. It’s stupid and careless. As you can see in the video below, JoJo’s dad was even in on it as he makes an appearance at the end of the video. So, this poor decision can’t be blamed on kids being kids.
That isn’t funny at all. She admits to lying just to rack up views. That’s appalling behavior for a parent to encourage, but it’s clear that is what happened.
