Tim Tebow Christian

The Yankees’ minor league team was forced to issue an apology for mocking Tim Tebow’s faith during a game.

Tebow’s Christianity was open to ridicule during the duration of the game. The Charleston RiverDogs mascot wore John 3:16 black batches under his eyes and even Tebowed during the game to mock the Heisman Trophy winner turned baseball player.

The RiverDogs mocked Tebow even when he wasn’t on the field. When his teammates came up to bat, they labeled them as NOT TIM TEBOW on the board and had a crying picture of the former quarterback.

The RiverDogs continued the Christian mocking every time Tebow was at bat. They played “Hallelujah Chorus” each time he walked up to the plate. Crowds packed the stands to see Tebow play. He was the draw and the RiverDogs repeatedly mocked him for his faith.

This was noticed by sportswriters and angry fans at the game.

It was pretty clear the RiverDogs were mocking Tebow’s Christianity. The jumbotron and the Hallelujah Chorus proved that. The team was forced to issue an apology as the video below details.

This is absurd. It will be interesting to see if this has an impact on attendance. As a South Carolina team, there should be plenty of fans who are Christians. Will they still attend games?

Share this if you are tired of Christians being mocked!
