Lucille Ball’s television career continued after I Love Lucy. She also had The Lucy Show after she split with Desi Arnaz.
She got into crazy situations that were just very typical of Lucy. In the clip below, she meets John Wayne at a restaurant. Lucy puts her foot in her mouth throughout the entire conversation and butts in on his lunch. John Wayne is gracious as can be as Lucy trips over herself trying to impress him!
Those were two larger than life people but they clearly were pretty down to earth too. It’s impossible to think of two stars of this caliber today.
