Tonight’s Smackdown is the first after Jinder Mahal’s shocking victory over Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship.
Mahal will be celebrating his title and presumably learning when Randy is getting his re-match.
Here’s what else we’re looking forward to tonight.
We live in a universe where Jinder Mahal is the WWE Champion. Rejoice! Mahal and the Singh brothers will have a “Punjabi” celebration tonight to mark the occasion. Expect Randy to RKO and maybe hurt the Singh brothers one more time.
After being stopped by a dastardly electric wire, AJ Styles was unable to unseat Kevin Owens as the face of America. AJ’s loss leaves open the possibility that he will get a re-match. However, KO seems ready to move on, possibly to the Money in the Bank match.
Owens completely overtook Talking Smack on Sunday and is firmly establishing himself as the top heel on the blue brand.
Money in the Bank is the next Smackdown Live PayPerView, coming in June. Sami Zayn and Tye Dillinger seem to put themselves into the match Sunday on Talking Smack. Shane McMahon will make an announcement tonight about the match, possibly announcing the participants and which titles the briefcase will be eligible for.
Breezango and Tyler, in particular, stole the show at Backlash. The Usos got a cheap win over the Fashion Police, meaning that we should be seeing a few more Fashion Files in the weeks to come!
AND ALL THE REST!
