Brandon Vizmar

Proving that Austin is indeed weird, a 37-year-old Austin resident Brandon Vizmar is suing his date for the cost of her movie ticket after she texted during their outing to see Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.

Vizmar is certainly paying more in legal bills than he hopes to get back. He’s also making it likely that nobody will ever go out with him again.

“While damages sought are modest, the principle is important as defendant’s behavior is a threat to civilized society,” Vizmar’s petition read.

Vizmar claims that texting at the movies is his pet peeve. This is something that ruined his “experience” at the theater. Well, it’s easy to understand that texting at the theater can be annoying, but his date claimed it was an emergency. She obliged his request and left when he asked her to text outside the theater.

Vizmar texted the woman afterwards demanding the cost of her ticket since he had an unpleasant experience!

She is getting a protective order against Vizmar after he contacted her sister asking her to refund him for the cost of the date.

I didn’t realize there was a guarantee on a date. I normally don’t encourage texting during the movies, but I can understand why this woman would want to escape this lunatic!

Share this if you think this is a frivolous lawsuit!
