United Airlines is facing yet another public relations nightmare after a giant rabbit died while traveling with the airline. The three foot rabbit was given a clean bill of health before getting on the plane in London.

“Simon had a vet’s check-up three hours before the flight and was fit as a fiddle,” breeder Annette Edwards said. “I’ve sent rabbits all around the world and nothing like this has happened before.”

The three foot rabbit was expected to soon claim the title of World’s Biggest Rabbit, but that plan died with Simon in United’s Chicago O’Hare cargo hold. Simon’s father Darius currently holds that title and is pictured above with their breeder. Ironically, this happened at the same airport where Dr. David Dao was dragged off a United flight two weeks ago.

The giant rabbit’s death is another black eye to United. The video below has more information on Simon’s deathly trip.

It’s sad that Simon’s life ended early, but at least this didn’t happen prior to Easter. Plenty of kids would have been asking if United killed the Easter Bunny!

Share this if you will think twice before flying United again!
