Tom Selleck is a devout Christian and husband so a few people might have their eyebrows raised over his kissing Kathie Lee Gifford on The Today Show. But, there is an explanation.
Twenty years ago, Selleck was in a movie where he had to kiss Kevin Kline. Kathie Lee’s co-host Regis Philbin was chiding Selleck for kissing a man when Gifford decided to set the record straight by kissing him.
Fast forward to 2017 when Selleck was reunited with Kathie Lee on The Today Show. They honored the occasion by reenacting the smooch. Craig Ferguson was filling in as Kathie Lee’s sidekick. He didn’t seem to be expecting that!
You can see that video below. It was all in good fun, but I hope Tom’s wife doesn’t get mad!
What is funny about this is that, today, Regis Philbin would be attacked for poking fun at Tom Selleck for kissing a man in a movie. Philbin would have been called a homophobe!
