Carrie Underwood makes no bones about the importance of family and religion in her life. Because of that, her fans shouldn’t be terribly surprised by her announcement at the Grammys.
The country mega star told People that she is taking a break from music to focus on being a wife to her husband NHL player Mike Fisher and a mother to their son. She’s at the top of her game musically, but she can’t roll the clock back. Her son is just a toddler and this precious time can’t be wasted.
As you can see in the video below, Carrie isn’t one to churn out albums just for the sake of it. She wants her music to be epic, so a break really does make sense for her both personally and creatively.
