Just like any sport, skiing comes with some risks. You have to know the terrain you are attempting to conquer. Not having this information can be disastrous as a Utah skier found out.
In the video below, a skier is flying down a hill. He follows the tracks made by another skier and falls right off an unmarked cliff. His helmet camera caught the 150 foot fall on video.
Despite landing on his back, he didn’t injure himself, outside of being sore.
When you watch the video below you will realize how remarkable it is that he wasn’t paralyzed or killed!
As a former skier, this video took my breath away! It was like a dream where you are falling endlessly. I can’t imagine experiencing that first hand and then walking away from it intact!
