The Piano Guys

Christmas songs can uplift you unlike any others. The message of Christ’s birth is a powerful one that inspires many of us. Many songs can convey that message, but “Silent Night” seems to do it better than most. And the Piano Guys know just how to take a beloved song and make it into something divine.

Plácido Domingo Joins Piano Guys on “Silent Night”

Opera legend Plácido Domingo joined the Piano Guys for a goosebump enducing performance of “Silent Night” at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City.

The Cathedral provides a stunning backdrop and really allows for amazing acoustics to one of my favorite Christmas songs.

You might remember the Piano Guys from their soul stirring rendition of “O’ Come, O’ Come, Emmanuel”: With Just a Piano And a Cello, They Perform Perhaps The Best Christmas Song Ever

Here, accompanied by a children’s choir and the great Plácido Domingo, they create something truly spectacular to honor the holiday season.

The Beauty of “Silent Night”

The beautiful, familiar melody together with the sweet voices of the children instantly quiets my soul.

What a wonderful way to warm hearts and remind us what this season is all about. The lyrics of “Silent Night” tell the story of Christ’s birth in the sweetest way.

Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace!

That was just gorgeous to listen to and watch! My Christmas spirit is full.
