Sugarland lead singer Jennifer Nettles blessed us with an amazing song this Christmas. Her version of Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah” is a wonderful cover of a wonderful song. She had a unique country twang but without the pop of “modern” country. This is different from any song of you’ve heard her sing before.
Nettles’s performance has that rare emotion and power that is often lost in popular music. She belts out every note and you can feel the power in it.
Watch the stunning performance below:
Wasn’t that just beautiful? That song is so difficult. The range you need for it and the passion makes it a song that most artists don’t dare cover.
I loved this and it put a song in my heart! Share if it had an effect on you too!
