Holly Dunn

Country star Holly Dunn needs our prayers. She has an aggressive form of ovarian cancer.

The singer and substitute host of the Grand Ole Opry retired from music a few years ago and reinvented herself as an artist.

She opened up to Hallels about her health.

“I was diagnosed with a rare, very aggressive form of ovarian cancer. If you read the statistics, it is very bleak. Good thing I don’t believe in statistics! I had surgery and now I am having chemo treatments. I have since grown more tumors and it is going to be more of a battle than I anticipated.”

She is drawing on her belief in God and her family to give her the support she needs to battle this aggressive cancer.

“I have a huge faith in the healing power of God and the healing power within me that originates from my God,” she said, going on to add, “But I also draw tremendous strength from my family and my family of friends who have gathered around me in total support.”

Holly broke onto the country music scene in the mid 80s. Her career enjoyed longevity as she continued singing through the late 90s. You can see her hit “You Really Had Me Going” in the video below.

Holly is asking for prayers to help lift her up to fight this battle. If you would like to also send her a card, you can do so. Her address is Holly Dunn, PO Box 70, Placitas, NM 87043.
