police, prayer, blue lives matter

It’s a challenging time to be a police officer. In today’s highly charged political environment, they are under attack simply for doing their jobs. So, when something positive happens to a cop, it can go a long way in boosting their morale.

Heard County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Wiggins had such an encounter recently. The Georgia law enforcement officer posted about it on his Facebook page and it is drawing nationwide attention.

Wiggins pulled over a car for failing to obey a stop sign. After he pulled over the vehicle, two other vehicles pulled in front of the car. This alarmed Wiggins and he put his hand on his holster.

But, what happened was simply touching. The family was driving to the hospital to see the grandfather of the driver who was pulled over. The grandfather had a stroke. But, instead of getting upset with the officer for doing his job, the father of the driver prayed for Wiggins’ safety. This brought Wiggins to tears.

Watch the video below and have your faith in humanity restored.

Such a kind and simple gesture made a profound impact on this officer. We must remember to appreciate people who sacrifice so much for us. They need the encouragement and the morale boost.

Please share this if you are praying for our law enforcement officers!
