Two extreme fisherman had an experience they will never forget when they were fishing off the cost of New Zealand.
They caught a 700 lb swordfish. As you can see in the video below, it takes quite a few hours to haul in a fish of that size. And in the middle of the night, their prize fish attracted a huge mako shark.
The shark began to attack the boat and eat the swordfish in an attempt to get the fish all to himself. The fisherman were dehydrated because their water had long run out, so they were weak. It was a harrowing experience.
Wow! That fish was enormous. And what a tale to tell. That certainly is extreme fishing! This might even be a tale to rival Ernest Hemingway’s Old Man and The Sea! How would you have reacted?
