Flip Wilson‘s show was hilarious. Those old variety shows would bring in some great stars for some slapstick humor. You never knew what you were going to see!
Now, the legendary actor Marty Feldman had an unusual look about him. He used this as part of his roles. He could get away with acting crazier than the average actor.

Marty Feldman sure pulled that off! He had a lot of talent and certainly stood out of the crowd. I will always remember him as Igor from Young Frankenstein.
Flip Wilson Was Classic
You could always count on Flip Wilson to provide the laughs… even if it wasn’t on his own show.
And he wasn’t afraid to take on topics that would be considered politically incorrect these days. The trick was all in the context. One had to be clever to get around the social mores of the day.

He’s even smoking a cigarette on TV! That’s something only old timers can recall being allowed.
