In 1991, Corporal Ryan Stickney and 200 of his fellow Marines found themselves stranded. The Desert Storm veterans were based out of Miami, but a logistical error had them stuck at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

Their families were waiting for them to arrive and they were without a flight. Suddenly, a private citizen stepped up and did what the government wasn’t able to. That citizen was Donald Trump.

“The way the story was told to us was that Mr. Trump found out about it and sent the airline down to take care of us. And that’s all we knew….I remember asking ‘Who is Donald Trump?’ I truly didn’t know anything about him,” the Marine veteran said.

The Trump confirmed to Hannity.com that the real estate mogul did indeed send his plane to North Carolina and made two trips to Miami to take these stranded Marines home after they fought in Operation Desert Storm.

Stickney reports that his father-in-law, who is also a veteran and a former captain for Eastern Airlines, was so appreciative that he offered to fly Mr. Trump for free.

The families of these 200 veterans were grateful that Trump stepped up. Imagine waiting for your loved one for months, concerned about their safety and then have them be stranded because of poor planning from the government. Trump cut right through that red tape. He didn’t have to, but it was the right thing to do.

Stickney reports that he has never seen another presidential candidate step up to the level that Donald Trump has.  “I have not seen a Clinton or Sanders plane, or anything else for that matter, sent to support the troops.”

It’s time we have a president who makes our veterans a priority. Please share this if you support Donald Trump!
