Kai Trump has insisted she will never run for president, but she’s still taking inspiration from her grandfather, Donald Trump.
Focused on Golf
The United States President‘s eldest grandchild celebrated her 19th birthday this week and is graduating from Palm Beach’s Benjamin School on Friday before she joins the University of Miami.
She’s clearly been influenced by Donald, as she’ll be competing on the school’s collegiate golf team.
An insider told PEOPLE magazine: “Kai is extremely focused on golf. She has demonstrated the discipline to continue with it and go as far as she can.”
It shouldn’t be much of a surprise considering the businessman turned president has almost 20 golf courses of his own around the world.
His keen passion means his granddaughter has “grown up with the sport,” and the source believes she “will improve a great deal under the right coaching.”
Mother with Tiger Woods
There’s another connection, too, as her mother, Vanessa, went public with her relationship with golf legend Tiger Woods in March 2025.
After Donald’s ex-daughter-in-law, who was married to his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., from 2005 until 2018, confirmed the romance, the president revealed they had his approval.
He told reporters in the White House Oval Office, “I love Tiger and I love Vanessa.”
“He and I have a very special, very good relationship with Tiger. I played golf with him a couple of times over the last month, and he’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete.”
“He told me about it, and I said, Tiger, that’s good, that’s good.’ I’m very happy for both. Just let them both be happy. Let them both be happy. They’re both great.”
Other Avenues for Kai
There was some speculation that Kai could move into content creation after a vlog she shared earlier this year. The video racked up over 730,000 views.
In the video, she took the Secret Service with her to the “world’s most expensive grocery store,” the luxury outlet Erewhon.
Sources insisted that while she enjoyed the process, “she likes playing golf more.” She recently told influencer turned WWE superstar Logan Paul that she “never” wants to run for office like Donald.
While Kai is serious about golf, she is also open to making the most of the family name to launch her own “brand.” Although she has not decided exactly what direction she would go in.
Appearing on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast, she said, “I would like to create my brand one day. I don’t know what kind of brand but I want to create my own brand one day.”
