The Office is so good it’s become a meme. At least that’s one way of looking at it.
Others have referred to Americans’ penchant of rewatching the series over and over again an example of “stuck culture.”
Others have argued that there’s just no way The Office could have even aired today, given some of the topics and jokes.
But air it will, at least, a spinoff will air.

Is Steve Carell Coming Back To The Office?
For those hoping to see Michael Scott come back to life, I’ve got some bad news.
Steve Carell says he will not appear in the new spinoff series. No, he’s not calling in sick or using vacation.
Instead, the actor who plays the most famous boss in the world says “there’s no reason” to reprise the role.
“I will be watching, but I will not be showing up,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
“It’s just a new thing, and there’s really no reason for my character to show up in something like that,” he continued. “I love the idea — I guess it’s set in a family newspaper company, and I worked with Domhnall Gleeson, who is one of the leads. I did The Patient with him, and he’s an excellent actor and a super nice guy, so I think it’ll be great.”
Huge bummer for fans, but the silver lining is that he thinks that it’s a good idea.

The Office Spinoff
The new version of The Office will reportedly take place at a dying Midwest newspaper. There’s no official title yet, but the show will air on the Peacock network.
At least the lead actors are confirmed. Domnhnall Gleeson – who had starring roles in the third Star Wars trilogy – and Sabrina Impacciatore, who starred in HBO’s The White Lotus.
The last episode of The Office aired over 10 years ago, so fans are likely to eat this one up!

What Is Carell Up To?
In lieu of returning to the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, SCarell has been back making movies and comedy shows.
In the interim, Carell has starred in the Netflix comedy show Space Force.
He’s also been busy on the big screen. While he just got done wrapping up the film IF, he’s also starred in five movies since 2020: Irresistible, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Asteroid City, IF, and the upcoming Despicable Me 4.
But this is a busy man, and he’s additionally – if you can believe it – starring on Broadway in Uncle Vanya.
So while he may not be gracing your screen as Michael Scott, Carell is everywhere else, it seems.
