LeBron James has chosen a cartoon over representing his country in the Tokyo Olympics.
Following an embarrassing and bruising first round playoff loss, many wondered if LeBron would return to Team USA one final time to redeem himself and grab another gold medal.
But, the LA Laker announced that his priority is promoting the movie “Space Jam 2.”

LeBron’s Silence On China
LeBron has been highly critical of the United States in recent years.
Many people jokingly wondered if the basketball star and social justice warrior would play for China since he gives the Communist country a pass for its genocide and treatment of the Uyghurs.
But, the team he announced he is playing for is ridiculous rather than treasonous.

At a press conference after the Lakers dramatic loss to the Phoenix Suns, LeBron announced will be playing for the Tune Squad rather than Team USA. Yes, he chose a cartoon team over his own country.
“I think I’m going to play for the ‘Tune Squad’ this summer instead of the Olympics,” LeBron James remarked at the press conference. “That’s what my focus is on. Trying to beat the ‘Monstars’ or the ‘Goon Squad.’ So, didn’t have much success versus the Suns, so now I am gearing my attention to the ‘Goon Squad’ here in July, in mid-July.”

“So, I’m gonna let the ankle rest for about a month and then I’m going to gear up with Lola, Taz, Granny, Bugs and the rest of the crew,” he continued. “So hopefully I’ll see y’all at the match.”

Poor Sportsmanship
LeBron was ridiculed for poor sportsmanship during his stinging playoff loss.
With six minutes remaining in the Wednesday game, he stormed off the court and spent the remainder of the game in the locker room.
Following Thursday’s game which ended the series, he refused to congratulate the Suns on their win before leaving the court.
Maybe its best that LeBron not represent the United States given his status as a sore loser.
Perhaps he is best suited in a cartoon.
“Space Jam: A New Legacy” will include some wokeness that LeBron James has embraced in recent years.
Pepe LePew was scrapped from the movie because the executives believe the cartoon character promotes rape culture.
