Earlier this week, we reported that Meghan Markle was complaining about her time as a “briefcase girl” on the game show “Deal Or No Deal,” saying that she felt “objectified” on the program. Now, Whoopi Goldberg is firing back by shutting down the wife of Prince Harry, saying that she is “making women feel bad” who are “trying to make a living.”

Backstory: Meghan Markle Bellyaches About Her Time On TV Show ‘Deal Or No Deal’
Goldberg Rips Into Meghan
“On that show, you basically had a suitcase and they wanted to know: Is this the deal you want, or is this not the deal you want?” Goldberg said on her ABC talk show “The View” on Wednesday morning. “I don’t know that the people who are sitting there are thinking about you like that. They’re thinking, ‘I want the money.'”
“[‘Wheel of Fortune’ hostess] Vanna White is always in something interesting and beautiful, and she’s been doing this. The objectification might be coming from you and how you felt about how these women were being portrayed,” she added, according to Daily Mail.
“That’s what you have to change because we’re performers,” the Oscar-winner continued. “When you’re a performer, you take the gig… sometimes, you’re in a bozo suit, sometimes you got a big nose, and this is just the way it is.”
On her podcast "Archetypes," Meghan Markle says her job as a model on Deal or No Deal made her feel like she was "all looks and little substance":

‘We’re Not Journalists, We’re Actors’
Goldberg’s liberal co-hosts tried to defend Meghan, but the former Sister Act star refused to back down.
“We’re not journalists, we’re actors,” Goldberg explained. “You left, and that was your prerogative. I feel bad, because I don’t think people were looking at these girls like this, I think they want the money.”
When co-host Sunny Hostin tried to say that Meghan’s remarks made her question the way the entertainment industry prioritizes certain body types over others, Goldberg shut that down as well.
“That’s TV, baby,” she said. “But, what did you think you were going to? You know that’s what the show was.”
Goldberg concluded the segment by warning Meghan not to make “the other women feel bad, because they’re trying to make a living, too.”

Meghan Whines About ‘Deal Or No Deal’
This came after Meghan complained about her time on “Deal Or No Deal,” which she appeared on from 2006-2007, during this week’s episode of her Archetypes podcast, claiming that she felt uneasy before episodes of the game show.
“I would end up leaving with this pit in my stomach knowing that I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage,” she alleged. “I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance. And that’s how it felt for me at the time: Being reduced to this specific archetype.”

Meghan further belittled women who appear on shows like “Deal Or No Deal” by saying that she would not want her 1 year-old daughter Lilibet to take that kind of job.
“I want our daughter to aspire to be slightly higher,” Meghan said. “Yeah, I want my Lili to want to be educated and want to be smart and to pride herself on those things.”
“I ended up quitting the show,” she continued. “I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage. I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks. And little substance. And that’s how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype the word bimbo.”
"You do sign up knowing what the job entails but that doesn't mean we can't hope for a better future."

Goldberg typically fawns over Meghan just as much as most of the other people in the liberal media do, so her latest comments about her come as a welcome surprise. Perhaps this indicates that even some people on the “woke” left are getting tired of Meghan perpetually playing the victim and whining about her privileged life every chance she gets.
