Whoopi Goldberg desperately tried to backtrack on today’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View” one day after she offended millions by saying that the Holocaust was not about race.
This has led many to question whether she will suffer the same consequences that were inflicted upon Roseanne Barr, who was fired by ABC for her own comments that were deemed to be racist.
Goldberg: ‘Holocaust Isn’t About Race’
It all started on Monday’s episode of “The View,” when Goldberg said, “Let’s be truthful about it because Holocaust isn’t about race. It’s not about race. It’s not about race. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man.”
“But it’s about white supremacists going after after Jews—” guest co-host Ana Navarro tried to explain, but Goldberg interrupted her to say, “But these are two white groups of people!”
“The minute you turn it into race it goes down this alley,” she continued. “Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s how people treat each other. It doesn’t matter if you’re Black or white, Jews, it’s each other.”

After maliciously minimizing the atrocities of the Holocaust, leftists have now begun to rewrite the nature and the history of the Holocaust.

Goldberg Digs Her Hole Deeper
When given the opportunity to defend herself hours later during an interview with late night host Stephen Colbert, Goldberg instead only dug her hole deeper.
“The Nazis lied … they had issues with ethnicity, not with race, because most of the Nazis were white people, and most of the people they were attacking were white people. So to me, I’m thinking, ‘How can you say it’s about race if you are fighting each other?'” she ignorantly stated.
“I said this wasn’t racial. This was about white on white,” Goldberg concluded. “And everybody said, ‘No, no, no, it was racial,’ and so that’s what this all came from. So once again: Don’t write me any more, I know how you feel, OK? I already know. I get it. And I’m going to take your word for it and never bring it up again.”

Goldberg Backtracks Like Crazy
By Tuesday morning, however, Goldberg was in full backtrack mode.
“Yesterday on the show I misspoke,” Goldberg said, her tail clearly between her legs. “[The Holocaust] is indeed about race, because Hitler and the Nazis considered the Jews to be an inferior race. Now, words matter, and mine are no exception. I regret my comments and I stand corrected. I also stand with the Jewish people.”
Big mouth @WhoopiGoldberg made some very #disparaging remarks on @TheView about #Jews & the #Holocaust. She thinks because she gives lame #apology all should be forgiven. She's on a show that is #complicit in giving out #misinformation & putting down any 1 who doesn't agree. pic.twitter.com/xQcRVRFnDg

Goldberg then had a discussion with Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, who proceeded to try to educate her a bit on this issue.
“Whoopi, there is no question that the Holocaust was about race, that is how the Nazis saw it as they sought the systematic annihilation of the Jewish people — across continents, across countries, with deliberate and ruthless cruelty,” Greenblatt said, adding that “The View” (unfortunately) has a “huge platform” on public opinion.
“This is an ongoing discussion Jonathan, as you know, and one that we will continue to have because it is important, and because it affects all of us,” Goldberg replied, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC Staffers Furious Goldberg Hasn’t Been Fired Yet
It appears that Goldberg is confident that this issue has now been put to bed, which only goes to show the “privilege” that she has as a liberal celebrity.
Had a conservative celebrity made any comments remotely like this, they undoubtedly would have been fired and “cancelled” at once.
Donald Trump Jr. called out this double standard as he posted an article that detailed the outrage among ABC staffers that Goldberg hasn’t been fired for her anti-Semitic remarks.
Consequences only go one way folks. You should know this by now.

Will ABC give Whoopi any consequences? I mean they fired Roseanne Barr over a tweet. How can they allow blatant antisemitism live on air on their network?

“‘Disney took swift action and fired Roseanne Barr when she posted the awful tweet about Valerie Jarrett, yet Whoopi made her vile comments on ABC’s air and they do nothing about it? Where is the leadership from within Disney?” one ABC source told Daily Mail.
Barr was fired from the reboot of “Roseanne” in 2018 for calling Jarrett, a former advisor to Barack Obama, a “monkey.” While this source felt that Barr’s firing was justified, they felt that Goldberg’s comments should warrant the same consequence.
“Why is there one rule for Whoopi Goldberg – who gets a pass on everything and another rule for everyone else?” said the source. “There is a blind spot on The View when it comes to anti-Semitism. It is never a big enough hate crime for them.”
Goldberg Hit With Social Media Outrage
Many others feel that Goldberg should face serious consequences as well:
Sharon Osbourne was fired from The Talk for defending me against a fake charge of racism.
Whoopi Goldberg said on The View yesterday that the Holocaust ‘wasn’t about race’, which for Jewish people is about as racist a comment as anyone could make.

You all remember when ABC fired Rosanne Barr because of a tweet. So, what is ABC going to do about Whoopi Goldberg and her rhetoric?

Hi @WhoopiGoldberg,
I am a Holocaust survivor from NYC. My family was killed for not being white. Hitler & Nazis NEEDED to exterminate Jews because we weren’t "white enough" for them.
I'm happy to meet and educate you about what really happened in the Holocaust. pic.twitter.com/GAnEsVxTwx

ABC has the opportunity to take a stand for millions of Jews around the world by taking swift action against Goldberg, just as it did against Barr when she faced a similar scandal.
Given how useful Goldberg has proven herself to be to the liberal elites in spreading their leftwing agenda every day on “The View,” however, holding your breath until ABC fires her may be a very bad idea.
