Fans of the reality television show “Dancing With The Stars” were stunned last year when longtime host Tom Bergeron was abruptly fired and replaced by supermodel Tyra Banks. Now, however, this move appears to have backfired, as ratings for the ABC show have plummeted to the point where insiders are saying DWTS executives do not want Tyra Banks to return next season.
#DWTS Tyra Banks is a terrible host. Watching it for years and years. Please bring back Tom Bergeron. He was amazing.

Source: DWTS Producers Want To Replace Host Tyra Banks
One source told The Sun that ABC executives are eager to replace Banks going into the next season.
While show executives will be meeting with Banks in the new year to “map out 2022,” executives have reportedly had enough of her and are more focused on “signing at least one major star.” Senior executives have allegedly already been tasked with finding “at least one or ideally two major household names that fascinate fans,” according to the source.
They have been told to “think big” and lure “an Oscar, Emmy or Grammy winning star, who will make headlines on and off screen.”

Ratings for “Dancing With The Stars” were so low last season that there will only be one season of the show next year, rather than its normal two for the year.
Throughout last season, Banks was regularly roasted online for her hosting mishaps, which fans said happened frequently on the show.
Bergeron’s firing in 2020 came as a shock to fans, given the fact that he had been with “Dancing With The Stars” ever since it premiered back in 2005.
Back in October, Bergeron slammed “Dancing With The Stars” as being “not the show I loved” with Banks at the helm of it. Another insider told The Sun at the time that producers were “on edge” over Banks and her behavior.
‘Tyra Is A Nightmare’
“Tyra is a nightmare,” this insider alleged. “She is disrespectful to everyone. She gives orders and makes wild demands.”
The source went on to claim that the work environment had gotten “toxic” with the “energy, attitude and demands.”
“Tensions are high in the ballroom,” the insider continued. “Between low ratings, COVID outbreaks and constant managing of the Tyra backlash, the producers are on edge about everything. I wouldn’t be shocked if this is the last season.”

DWTS Ratings Plummet Is Karma For Producers
While “Dancing With The Stars” is set to come back next year at this time, last season may indeed have been Tyra Banks’ last.
Many will see this situation as karma for the producers of “Dancing With The Stars,” who clearly should have thought twice before unceremoniously kicking beloved host Tom Bergeron out the door. Everyone loved Tom – even Good Morning America!
