When Does The Pitt Season 2 Premiere?

The Pitt season 2 will debut in January 2026, after its renewal in February 2025. The network renewed the show about one month after it premiered.

Filming Locations

The production team films the hit medical show primarily on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. They shoot exterior scenes on location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Season 1 of The Pitt

The first season of The Pitt follows Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch’s (Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room.

The season is spread into fifteen episodes, each one correlating with an hour of the 15-hour shift.

Per the logline, The Pitt is “a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.

Noah Wyle isn’t the only star of The Pitt.

The cast also includes Tracey Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, and Shabana Azeez.

What is Season 2 About?

While not all the details are out, The Pitt season 2 will take place over a Fourth of July weekend for the next 15-hour shift.

The second season will pick up ten months after the final hour of season one, which wrapped on April 10th.

R. Scott Gemmill created The Pitt, which John Wells Productions produces in association with Warner Bros. Television. Gemmill is an executive producer alongside Wyle, John Wells, Erin Jontow, Michael Hissrich, and Simran Baidwan.
