Saltburn’s Sadie Soverall and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’s Matt Cornett are set to lead Prime Video’s upcoming series based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Every Summer After.

What is Every Summer After About?

The official logline released for the series is as follows:

“Told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay – the quintessential lake town – ‘Every Year After’ is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever.”

The Cast

Sadie Soverall is playing Percy, Matt Cornett is Sam, Perrineau is Chantal, Cowen is Delilah, Bradway is Charlie, and Chiu is Jordie.

Past and Upcoming Roles

Soverall’s next role is in the fantasy thriller I Am A Monster. She also starred in The Gathering.

Cornett is known for his role on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He also starred recently in American High’s Summer of ’69 opposite Chloe Fineman, Charlie Day, and Liza Koshy.

Perrineau stars in Netflix’s Kaos series, also appearing in When They See Us, HBO’s Westworld, and Prodigal Son.

Cowen appears alongside Al Pacino and Dan Stevens in The Ritual and stars in Electra. Upcoming roles include Heavenly Wickedness, Summerhouse, and Daisy.

In addition to the popular show Chicago Fire, Bradway is in Marked Men and Safe House.

Chiu appears in Netflix’s Fear Street: Prom Queens and in Prime Video’s newer TV series, Motorheads.

Behind the Scenes

Amy B. Harris is the showrunner and executive producer for the series. She will work alongside Fortune, Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace Gilroy as executive producers.

Every Summer After’s Popularity

Every Summer After was released in 2022 and spent 14 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list. The BookTok community on TikTok loved the novel, with the “Every Summer After” hashtag reaching over 81 million views. The novel has sold over one million copies to date.

When asked about her thoughts on the upcoming adaptation, author Carley Fortune commented:

“I couldn’t be more excited about this fabulous cast! This is an enormously talented group of actors, whose auditions made me laugh, swoon, and cry. I know they’ll have fans of Every Summer After falling in love with their favorite characters all over again.”

When Will Every Summer After Come Out?

Every Summer After will premiere as Every Year After on Prime Video. There is no date for the series yet.
