Season 2 may be months away from premiering, but now, viewers can get excited for Percy Jackson season 3. The third season, based on The Titan’s Curse, starts production in July 2025.
Several cast members have confirmed this to be true, with Aryan Simhadri (Grover) commenting, “We go up in July for boot camp.”
Percy Jackson season 2 is based on the second book in Rick Riordan’s series, The Sea of Monsters, and will premiere in December 2025.

Cast Confirms Percy Jackson Season 3
In an interview with ScreenRant, the cast of Percy Jackson confirms that season 3 production will begin in July 2025. Simhadri and Leah Jeffries (Annabeth) confirmed, while Walker Scobell (Percy) voiced his excitement, stating, “Oh yeah. This is probably my favorite season, probably will be my favorite season to shoot.”
While Jeffries wasn’t as excited, since her role will be more limited, Walker and Simhadri are ecstatic: “It’s just us the whole time.”
What to Know for Season 3
Since each season follows a book in the beloved Rick Riordan series, the third season will similarly follow the third book, The Titan’s Curse. In the book, Percy and Grover go on a quest to save Annabeth and the goddess Artemis from Titan Atlas. Instead of the trio together, screentime will be more focused on a Percy and Grover adventure that will be new compared to previous seasons.
This does mean we see less of Jeffries as Annabeth, who was originally questioned for the role, but has now won over a large fan base for her stellar portrayal of Annabeth. Fortunately, we will see a lot of her and Percy in season 2 as they go to rescue Grover from the Cyclops Polyphemus.

Faster Production Schedule
With season 1 ending in January 2024 and season 2 not premiering until December 2025, there is nearly a two-year gap between new episodes of the series.
However, the season 3 announcement before season 2 even premieres, bodes well for a faster release schedule, especially since it indicates Disney doesn’t want a large break again. The shorter wait time will also bode well for the actors, as they continue to get older as the series progresses.
Longevity of the Series
The first season was a huge success for Disney+, with fans loving the new adaptation of a popular book series. A shorter timetable also shows how much faith Disney has in the longevity of the series, and it seems like the third season will be a smash hit based on the reactions of Scobell, Simhadri, and Jeffries.
The quicker production time could also bode well for seasons based on The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian, which would complete the original book series onscreen. For now, fans can enjoy the upcoming seasons 2 and 3.

Season 3 Release Predictions
While we cannot confirm when Percy Jackson season 3 will come out, we can make some predictions. It took around three years to create the first season, from early development to premiere date. Season two has taken two years, but it was also a longer wait in terms of renewal.
For season 3, with a confirmation and production already in sight, we could see a release in spring to late summer of 2026. Hopefully, we can see The Titan’s Curse on screen sooner rather than later.
