Officially in Production
The series has officially started production at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom. This news comes almost 14 years to the day that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 concluded Harry’s first journey on the big screen.
We cannot be more excited to see the classic trio back on our televisions, selected from more than 30,000 actors who auditioned for the casting call last fall.
A “Faithful” Adaptation
The new Harry Potter HBO series has been coined as a “faithful adaptation” of the beloved book series. It will be executive-produced by the original author, J.K. Rowling.
The new adaptation will follow young Harry Potter as he discovers he is a wizard and leaves his Muggle family for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Along the way, he will befriend Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and battle Lord Voldemort.
