The Chad Powers teaser trailer is officially here.

Glen Powell is back in a major TV role for the first time since his appearance in Scream Queens in the upcoming Hulu comedy series. The Golden Globe nominee will play hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday, who must disguise himself to join a new team after tanking his college career.

What is Chad Powers About?

Chad Powers focuses on Russ Holliday, whose bad behavior bombs the quarterback’s college career. This forces him to don a disguise as he walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented Chad Powers.

During the teaser, Holliday states, “Everyone says I’m done with football. There’s no such thing as bad press.” Later, the football star gets fitted for a wig and prosthetic nose, proclaiming, “If I can’t play as Russ, I’ll play as someone else.”

The series is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series.

When Does the Show Premiere?

Chad Powers will premiere on Tuesday, September 30th, on Hulu.

The comedy series will debut with two half-hour episodes, with new installments coming out weekly on the streaming platform.

Behind the Scenes of Chad Powers

The series is co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, who also serve as executive producers.

They join Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, ESPN, Adam Fasullo, Luvh Rakhe, and director Tony Yacenda.

Powell is also co-writing the series and operating under his production company banner, Barnstorm Productions.
